The Shamrock Street Project, as i will refer to it has 'officially' kicked off!
We first met Multiplicity on the 12th Feb 2008 and yesterday 6th May 2011 we signed contracts!
It has been a long and wavered path, our vision for Shamrock street has not changed in that time but our feeling towards the project have been some what altered. Mainly due to our short and enjoyable time spent here at Sunnyside.
But we finalized it all on Friday afternoon in a marathon meeting that went for just under 3 hrs, signing and initialling hundreds of papers! All is done.
I even have a completion date! (Which my Mum will be most excited about. Love you Mum)

Late afternoon surf.
Jem might come to mind when you read the title of this post, but think again!
Yesterday after kinder Banjo was quite adamant that he was going to go for surf with his mate Remy.
After some discussion about the water temperature and other concerning factors, we went home, he changed into his summer wetsuit! And off we all went to meet Remy and his Dad at the beach.
When we arrived the late afternoon sun was casting a beautiful warm tone over the sea and the shadows of Iggy running along the sand were long.
After the initial chilly shock, Banjo hopped straight in, and he and his mate Remy went on to have the time of their lives.
Here is a short film of them together.

misty misty mystical morning
There was something very mystical happening when the sun started to break through the morning fog. Especially on the river.
It was so beautiful i had to share it with you.
Easters End
On the eve of our last day of holidays i wanted to reflect on what a lovely break we have had.
And why it was so relaxing and memorable.
First, would be that Jem was at home with us for the whole second week. We choose not to go away, but to enjoy our new home and all that it offers.
We had dear friends come and stay, my family even fitted in a night.
We walked up to 13th beach at dusk, in slight rain and watched the sky change colour and the sea glow.
We cooked, ate, drank and created traditional easter eggs.
We had fish and chips in the park, while the kids frolicked in the river till they were shivering and it was dark.
We watched family movies at night, snuggled together in front of the fire.

Together as a family.
That seems to be the essence to what made this school holiday a perfect one.

After Dinner
Iggy is amazing us with his incredible appetite!
He gets sooo hungry in the mornings, it's quite a drama.
If he is made to wait to long for his 2 weetbixs or bowl of porridge the whole house knows about it!
We can also tell how hungry Iggy is by the inflated or deflated size of his tummy. Here he is after dinner tonight. I think the sheer size of it might be affecting his dancing skills!
I also found this footage of a young Banjo around the same age as Iggy, very similar little munchcans.

End of a Term
Well we finally got to the end of the first term, and to be honest it has felt like quite an achievement.
When i look at where we were on the very first day of the term it feels like we have accomplished quite a lot.
The first day was hard for me on many levels, mainly the social side. The good friends that i had met through the school and kinder in Brunswick were absent, and there seem liked such a long road ahead to make those strong connections again from scratch.
But i am happy to say that i have small handful of friends, and i am meeting more and more most days.
The kids have done really well and Hero seems to be more vibrant about school which is a relief.
Today on their last day they had to dress-up as what they wanted to be when they were older. Hero went as a professional Surfer! We made her a board out of plywood and she got to decorate it which she most enjoyed.
She has earn't a holiday. She had a term report that any parent would be most proud of, and most exciting of all, her beautiful smile is back!
Banjo had a great term at kinder too. He was so excited to show me his home made butter that they made with cream and a single marble at kinder last week! (Although) he refused to eat any himself)
He has had numerous play dates over the past weeks, and just tonight, we took him to Aus Kick registration at one of the most beautiful Footy ovals i have seen. It was a stunning evening, and the kids had a ball with their new footy's. His enthusiasm was a joy to watch, it will be interesting to see how he will go when the evenings get a bit darker and colder.
They had an Easter Parade on their last day of kinder and they all looked so cute sitting listening to there teacher and wearing their Easter Bonnets at pickup time, He is Banjo with his.

Frustrations
It has been a bit of a fustrating week. I thought i would update my operating system which was getting quite ancient apparently! And in the process my computer threw a tantrum!
I have been on the phone to help people for over a week! What has made this whole process drag on and on is that i don't have many opportunities to sit down at a computer and listen to instructions and concentrate, which is what is needed to fix the problem. Yesterday i had to erase my entire HD, which was very scary.
All my major application has been wiped and so now i have to find the original software in a box, stored away in Shamrock St ( no idea when i might get a chance to do that! )
So this is going to affect my photo's for a while, apologies.
We had a lovely day in Melbourne today, we went down just for the day to see Mum who cooked us a beautiful Sunday lunch. And since Hero has been missing her friends she had an old friend come and play, which she loved.
We all went to the park and i loved watching Banjo with Iggy, he often forgets that Iggy is so little and not the same age as him, but generally, he is fantastic to his little brother. No one can make Iggy laugh quite like Banjo.
