Birthday at the beach!

Jeremy turned 37 on Saturday. We had a pretty low key day, but a lovely one.
Jem requested breakfast out, followed by an afternoon at the beach and then homemade pizza and chocolate cake with the family.
As you can see from this shot we enjoyed ourselves, especially iggy, he loves the sand and the freedom that a beach can offer.

What I think Jem loved most of all about his birthday this year was being where we are.Since he was 11 years old he has dreamt of living by the sea, so now that we are here, that was the best present of all.
Happy Birthday babe.
I love you!

ps: Thanks to Pa for the pic too!

STLYE with a capital B!

Banjo has always been very interested in dress-ups and role play from an early age. Super heroes to pirates, here is a photo of a Knights suit that my Mum made for his 3rd Birthday. But now his interest has turned to general clothes.

He will get an image in his head of who he wants to be and works for days creating the outfit from the clothes to all the accessories!

When his aunty got married recently he was adamant that he was to wear a tuxedo! We were lucky to score one at a school fate thank god.

Last week my mum (mermy) came for a visit and we went to this place http://www.kyo.net.au/, it was amazing, i would highly recommend a visit  when you come this way. Anyhow, it was huge and filled with so many treasures, Banjo found this suit! Most people would have walked straight past it but not Banjo!

Lots of people have been asking to see pics of our place, i am not really ready for an unveiling yet! I have nothing on the walls and still have lots to do but when i came across these pics of Shamrock St before we started packing up,  it really confirmed what a lovely but tight space we had to deal with, especially in comparison to 'Sunnyside', we are truly enjoying how this home works for our family that Shamrock could not do in the end.

Iggy has his own room, or Jem and i have our own room again! The kids can run up and down a hallway without getting in anyones way, more then one person can cook in the kitchen at the one time!

Friends and family have a room to sleep in when they visit!

These are the main and important functions 'Sunnyside' has given us since we have arrived. I will in time show you these rooms as they get interior designed!

Milestones

This week has been very productive in terms of growth and development.

Poor Hero has had 3 wobbly teeth for months and months, they have caused all sorts of anguish and discomfort for her, but this week all 3 came out! Hero didn't know what to do with so much tooth fairy money!

She is a much happier 'toothless princess' now.

Iggles is walking!
He has been tottering for a couple of weeks, but now it is his chosen method of movement.
Even though Iggy is my third i could never stop getting a thrill out of watching them learn to walk.
It is an amazing sight.

A boy who needs a focus!

Well they did it!

Jem and his Dad (Owen the master builder!) built this skate ramp from scratch with plans that Jem found on this site

Banjo is very excited!

We hope it will provide him with the right focus that a young and energetic 4 1/2 year old boy needs.
Without this type of distraction our imaginative enthusiastic boy can be a bit of a hand full!

Christmas @ Sunnyside

Well we finally got here! After packing everything the weekend before  Christmas, shopping for Christmas lunch on Monday, Tuesday, moving on wednesday, unpacking on Thursday, cooking on Friday!

This is the family on Christmas morning. And it is the excitement on the kids faces that make it all worth while.

We had a beautiful Christmas, with family coming and going. My dear Mum was with us for a few days including Christmas morning which the kids loved, but she has gone back and it feels strange to have her so far away.

I loved having my family here and to see a house that can actually function as a house should and be able to entertain and hold a number of people at one time! Shamrock Street really didn't do that very well at all.

We have just about finished unpacking and the house is looking nearly normal again, NYE passed us by which was an unexpected blessing.

Jem and his Dad have undergone a new and exciting challenge  which is quite exciting, so stand-by to see it's unavailing soon!

Happy New Year Barwon Heads!

T'was the week before the week before Christmas...

Hero will finish her first year of school this week, and what an amazing girl she is becoming. I got such a kick when i saw her card to her teacher which she wrote all by herself.

Banjo finished up at 3 year old kinder with such confidence and enthusiasm. He has come along way from the start of the year too.

It is the last week in our West Brunswick house, and i am having mixed feelings. This place has been really great to us, and to be honest, it has only been since Iggy arrived 10 months ago that we are really busting at the seams!

We have a really lovely community here, and i think i have the best neighbor's in the world, which has had a really big impact on my life in this house.

Also my dear beautiful Mum only lives a stone throw down the road and is always there when i need her.

It is these reasons that i feel sad to leave, but it is these reasons that will be awaiting me and on my return.
